Weekend in Raleigh

Last Friday we drove down to Raleigh to visit Rob's parents and attend my college roommate, Lindsey's wedding.
On Friday night, we went to an after-rehearsal-dinner party, which was so much fun!  They had a bluegrass band playing, and it was a great opportunity to catch up with the bride and groom before the wedding day.  Here's a picture of the groom's cake (he loves hiking and all kinds of outdoor activities)

On Saturday, I went to lunch with Katie (my other college roommate) and we spent a few hours just catching up and enjoying the awesome weather.  Adeline was such an angel; she just sat in her carseat and enjoyed the weather too!

On Saturday afternoon, our friends John Mark and Audrey stopped by with their 7-week-old, Everette.  John Mark was Rob's Best Man.  They live in Winston-Salem, but were in Raleigh for a different wedding.  It was so great to see them and meet little Everette!

It's hard to remember Adeline being that small, but it was only a few short months ago!

We left Adeline with Rob's parents for the evening so we could go to the wedding.  We are so grateful they could take care of her, and we had a great night out!

Lindsey's reception was at an old warehouse in Durham, and they absolutely transformed the space from a warehouse full of boxes to a beautiful venue!

I loved their cake topper (both Lindsey and Bryan have black labs)

The beautiful bride!

The band was awesome!

We spent most of the night on the dance floor...

This picture totally cracks me up....

When Rob is having fun, he has a signature dance move we like to call "drop it like it's hot"

He suddenly drops down and smacks the floor with his hand.

For those of you who have witnessed it, you know how hilarious it is....

What a fun night!!! Thanks, Lindsey and Bryan, for sharing your day with us!
And thanks to Yaya and Poppa for taking such great care of Adeline!
