This was Adeline's wonderland - a room full of all kinds of balls! (Have I ever mentioned that she sleeps with a soccer ball every night?!)
My cousin Kristi has a daughter, Raena, about the same age as Adeline. They both totally idolized Kalie (another cousin).
See how Adeline is mimicking her every move?
After the party, we just hung out back at my parents' house. Adeline loves reading with my Grandpa. He's the best story reader around - I always loved to hear him read too.
I was also thrilled to have a chance to meet my best friend Kelly's new little daughter, Julia. She is two months old and is just the cutest.
On Sunday morning, we stopped at the park before heading back to Richmond.
Adeline was totally exhausted by the time we got back to Richmond. She didnt sleep well in Lancaster and barely slept at all in the car. She was so loopy and clumsy, she promptly tripped and fell in the driveway and hit her face on the ground.
I was so worried about her teeth, but everything was ok and she was surprisingly tough. She just cried for a few minutes and then kind of forgot about it. It looked really painful to me!
Here are some other little snippits of fun times in June:
Our power was out after a storm in early June, so we spent the night at our sweet neighbors' house. Adeline had her first "sleepover" party, and we had a nice cool place to sleep. We are so grateful for these friends.
When Adeline woke up the next morning, she literally opened her eyes and said, "where's Charlotte?". They had a sweet little breakfast together.
