Smith Mountain Lake

In late July, we went to Smith Mountain Lake for the weekend.  Rob's parents recently bought a place there, very close to his grandparents, so it's really convenient for us to visit everyone and there is plenty of room for all of us! It about a 3 hour drive, so it's a pretty easy trip.

We took advantage of the gorgeous weather and went on a ride in the boat.  This was Adeline's first boatride, and to say she loved it would be an understatement!

 After the boat ride, we went swimming.  Adeline absolutely loves the water and has no fear, which can be a little scary for me!

 

 

 

On Saturday night, Great-Gram and Grandad came over for dinner at Yaya and Poppa's new place.  Adeline wore a dress that Rob's mother made for his sister over 30 years ago!

 

It was such a fun weekend and it was great to see the Bantas' new lake house - it is beautiful and we look forward to spending many more weekends together at SML!
