We've had a busy month! We traveled a lot, saw lots of family and friends, and battled some illnesses. All 3 of us had the stomach flu early in the month and Adeline and I both had a bad cough/sinus infection as well. Luckily, Adeline's ear tubes seem to be making a huge difference, and she bounced back much faster than I did!
We drove to PA in mid-December to spend the weekend with my family. We had our big Will Family Christmas party with all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins on my Dad's side. It was very different this year without my Uncle Michael, but it was still good to see everyone. Of course, I only have this one picture from the weekend - I'll have to get more from my mom. My parents gave Adeline a baby doll, complete with a cradle, blanket, and bottle. That doll hasnt left Adeline's side since. She absolutely loves it, and carries it everywhere. The baby doll even came to Christmas Eve service with us!
All of these illnesses prompted us to go back to Miss Chris for Adeline's childcare. Although the commute to her new school was much shorter and easier, she was exposed to many children and was sick the majority of the past three months. We decided that a smaller environment works better for her, plus we LOVE Miss Chris, and we really missed her and all of Adeline's friends there. So her first day back with Miss Chris will be January 2nd!
Here are some pictures from Miss Chris' Christmas Party this year
The kids all move so fast, my pictures are blurry!
Adeline wasnt too sure about Santa, but the cookie helped!
On Christmas Eve, we went to the children's service at church. Adeline was very excited to wear her pretty dress!
We will never forget this Christmas Eve Service. It was an adorable Christmas Pageant and Adeline had a blast! She sang, jumped, and danced the whole time. She loved pointing and saying "baby" to all of the other children. She kept grabbing the lady's hand behind us to get her to dance, and at one point she even reached up so that the lady would pick her up! This girl has never met a stranger. Rob and I were sort of embarassed, but we were glad she was having so much fun!
After church, we opened our gifts
Adeline loved her new toys from my Grandparents and my Aunt Lisa and Uncle Larry.
The next morning, we woke up bright and early and drove to Raleigh to see Rob's family.
Rob's parents gave Adeline this adorable rocking horse, and she loves it! She repeats "Adeline ride? Adeline ride?" over and over again.
Chelsea, Michael, and Cooper arrived the day after Christmas, and the cousins had so much fun playing together!
Overall, we had a great Christmas, and we are very blessed by wonderful friends and family to spend it with.
